Daniel Christian opens up how Virat Kohli nearly tricked Kyle Jamieson into disclosing his plans for WTC final
Royal Challengers Bangalore are in surreal form in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Barring their defeat to Chennai Super Kings in their journey, they defeated all other teams they faced so far this season. They won as many as 5 games and secured 10 points with a net run rate of +0.089.
Currently, they are third in the IPL 2021 points table. Meanwhile, RCB all-rounder Daniel Christian shared a hilarious conversation involving the likes of captain Virat Kohli and New Zealand's lanky pacer Kyle Jamieson. The hilarious story cropped up in the first week of the team's practice session.
Christian opened up that New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson is carrying some Dukes balls with him in a bid to prepare for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final in Southampton on June 18. India and New Zealand have already qualified for the marquee contest.
Daniel Christian shares a funny conversation between Virat Kohli and Kyle Jamieson
Both teams will be looking forward to the contest right after the end of the 14th edition of the IPL. After India and RCB captain Virat Kohli learnt that Jamieson is having duke balls, he invited the Kiwi pacer to practice against him in the RCB nets. Kohli made a cheeky attempt to convince Jamieson to bowl with duke balls in the nets.
Daniel Christian continued saying that Jamieson didn't fall for the trick as he politely refused to bowl with the duke ball. "Pretty cagey from Virat actually, right in the first week we were here. The three of us were sitting down after the nets and these two were talking about Test cricket. RCB skipper said: 'So Jamie (Kyle Jamieson) have you bowled much with the Dukes ball?' and they are talking about that stuff.
Jamieson said: 'Yeah, I have a couple of them here, I will have a bowl leading in before I go over there' and Virat says 'Oh, if you want to have a bowl against me in the nets, I am more than happy to fashion'. Jamie was like, 'No chance I am going to ball at you!' He would have looked at his release point and everything that he does with the Dukes ball! (chuckles)," Chrisitan said on The Grade Cricketer's YouTube channel.
