Pakistan Super League is one of the popular T20 tournaments in the world. Although it might not be as popular as the cash-rich Indian Premier League, the league is best known for developing and nurturing young talents. PSL has helped players showcase their mettle or express themselves in the passage of the play.

Pakistan's franchise cricket is hosted during February and March of each year. As many as 6 teams take part in the league. This league came into existence on 9 September 2015 with five teams. However, PSL governing council decided to add one more team and now, the league consists of 6 clubs.

Islamabad United dominated the league better than any other team. They won two trophies. Pakistan captain Babar Azam who is ranked No.1 in ODIs and T20Is is at the top of the list in terms of most runs scored in the Pakistan Super League with 1774 runs. On the other hand, Wahab Riaz is the highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 84 wickets.

The league is slowly getting popular and recognized after plenty of overseas players are taking part in this league. Players who play IPL also are playing PSL. The likes of Rashid Khan, Chris Lynn, David Miller, Imran Tahir and Chris Gayle are the stars who take part in both IPL and PSL.

David Miller

The Universe Boss bags INR 2 crores at Kings XI Punjab. He plies his trade for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League where he gets paid INR 95 lakhs.

Ben Cutting

Ben Cutting who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing edition also represents Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League. The Australian all-rounder earns about 63 lakhs in the PSL. He was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 75 lakhs and waited in the wings for the first three games this season.
