Jofra Archer shuts down Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen over Moeen Ali ISIS claim

From online abuses to spewing hatred, from negative comments to targeting family members, the social media portal has seen it all. The advent of social media gave the users plenty of freedom to express their opinion. On the dark side, some users are misusing the internet platforms by the name of freedom of speech or sarcasm.

Just a few hours ago, Bangladeshi’s renowned author Taslima Nasreen invited a lot of criticism online after she made a shocking comment on England all-rounder Moeen Ali. Netizens lambasted the female author for her opinion. She took to Twitter and posted a tweet that angered several social media users.

It all started when the Bangladeshi author tagged England all-rounder Moeen Ali and added that if he was not into cricket, then he would have ended up travelling to Syria with a sole purpose of joining ISIS. Nobody expected this sort of remark and that too on England all-rounder.

Jofra Archer takes on Bangladeshi author

“If Moeen Ali were not stuck with cricket, he would have gone to Syria to join ISIS,” Nasreen wrote on Twitter. Fans decided to teach her a big lesson in the comments section. Fans took turns in roasting the author online for her remark over Moeen Ali ISIS.

Meanwhile, England fast bowler Jofra Archer sprung into his teammate Moeen Ali's defence by taking on the Bangladeshi author by coming up with an epic comment. Archer gave a sharply-worded response to Naszreen. The 26-year-old wrote: "Are you okay? I don't think you're okay."

After Naszreen's tweet received countless negative reactions, she decided to remove the tweet immediately. But she came up with yet another tweet clarifying that her previous tweet was just sarcastic and that she didn't mean to hurt the sentiments of feelings of Moeen Ali.

“Haters know very well that my Moeen Ali tweet was sarcastic. But they made that an issue to humiliate me because I try to secularize Muslim society & I oppose Islamic fanaticism. One of the greatest tragedies of humankind is pro-women leftists support anti-women Islamists,” she wrote.

Archer who is known for his sharp replies was not convinced with her tweet. The fast bowler clean-bowled the female author with yet another sharp tweet. “Sarcastic? No one is laughing, not even yourself, the least you can do is delete the tweet,” Archer tweeted.
