Kl Rahul likely to lead India in the upcoming series against New Zealand

T20 World Cup 2021: Team India are massively struggling in the currently ongoing World Cup. Moreover, they have gone on to lose both their starting matches of the tournament in the UAE.
The Indian team first lost against Pakistan in a historic defeat by a huge margin. Moreover, this was for the first time in the history of the World Cup that India lost to Pakistan. It was a shambolic defeat in the t20 World Cup.
Not even a single Indian player turned up for the big game against Pakistan in the t20 game. It was a disheartening performance from the Indian side as both batting, as well as bowling, went on to fail.
Moreover, Pakistan went on to defeat India by a margin of 10 wickets in the t20 World Cup match. Similarly, India lost to New Zealand by a huge margin as well. This time batting completely failed against the Kiwis.
KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma went flopping in the t20 World Cup game. Plus the Indian bowlers also looked out of form as they could take only two wickets in the second innings against New Zealand.
As a result of that, New Zealand beat India by eight wickets and they completed the t20 match inside 15 overs. Moreover, this shocking loss could also mean that India’s chances for qualifying to the semi-finals have drastically taken a hit.
However, team India will be looking to move on from the terrible performance in the t20 World Cup. They already have a tight schedule after the conclusion of the gala tournament. New Zealand will be touring India in November.
Moreover, there will be t20 series and a Test series between the two cricketing nations. India and New Zealand will play three t20 matches and two test matches against each other in November.
As per reports, senior players are likely to be given rest after being in bio-bubble for too long. The decision has been made keeping the hectic mental pressure that the athletes have to deal with in modern days.
However, KL Rahul is all set to captain team India for the upcoming t20 series. Various reports are indicating that he will lead team India against New Zealand.
