Former Indian batting great Sunil Gavaskar is one of the finest commentators in the world. The former Indian cricketer is currently part of the English commentary panel for the ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. Gavaskar has already completed 30 years as an international cricket commentator.

Sunil Gavaskar was fortunate enough to make his debut in the commentary box along with the microphone legend Richie Benaud. He began his commentary career with India’s first Test against England at Lord’s in 1990 where he was inducted into the new role in cricket. Since then Gavaskar has been a commentator in countless matches.

It was good to see him reacting to the intense, hilarious situations during the passage of the play. The former Indian cricketer has come up with adjectives and superlatives to describe the good moments. Gavaskar considers former Australian cricketer Riche Benaud as his role model in the commentary.

Ben Stokes take a dig at Sunil Gavaskar's commentary

Ben Stokes has left for England in the aftermath of an unexpected finger injury that ruled him out of the entire season of the cash-rich league. The Rajasthan Royals all-rounder in the dugout in the last 2 games for his franchise and opted to undergo surgery on his finger.

After his spell at the club, the Royals' camp conducted a farewell for the England all-rounder and then handed him a jersey in the name of his beloved father who passed away last year. Stokes' father identified as Ged Stokes passed away battling cancer at the age of 65.

Ben Stokes represented Rajasthan Royals in the opening match but unfortunately, injured his finger while taking a catch. England all-rounder is still a busy man on Twitter where he decided to take a dig at Sunil Gavaskar's commentary during the game between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings.

During the 11th over of PBKS' batting, Kagiso Rabada was hit by Mayank Agarwal for 2 sixes. Rabada pitched a short ball to PBKS captain Lokesh Rahul, who played a hook shot over the backward square region. Sunil Gavaskar said: “Such a poor bouncer if you want to bowl a bouncer it must be over off stump. Meanwhile, Ben Stokes' responded: "REPLAY: bouncer line directly over Off Stump Me: 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️."
