It is because there were not many high scoring and six-hitting matches due to the dry and slow pitches in the UAE.
Moreover, the sheer element which makes T20 cricket most interesting was missing from this World Cup. Stronghold teams like India, West Indies were not even impressive in this World Cup due to various factors. While surprising candidates like Pakistan, South Africa did well in the T20 World Cup which was unusual. However, Australias had the last laugh as they went on to win their maiden T20 World Cup on Sunday against New Zealand.
The Aussies went on to put a dominant display to dent a huge loss to the Kiwis. Moreover, the New Zealand team have done exceptionally well in recent times in the ICC tournaments. But the Kiwis could not cope up with the strong Australian batting lineup.
Both David Warner and Mitchell Marsh were excellent throughout the T20 World Cup match. It was a surreal journey for the Aussies who were not even the favourites when the ICC tournament went on to start in Dubai.
