Former Indian opener, Wasim Jaffer has found a brilliant way of trolling the official account of ‘Cricket Pakistan’ on Twitter as the latter took a dig at the Indian fans during the ongoing T20 World Cup match between Afghanistan and New Zealand. If the Afghanistan team managed to pull off a win in this game, then India will stand a chance to qualify to the semi-final of the tournament.

Attempting to take a dig at the Indian fans, Cricket Pakistan tweeted, “How are you feeling, Indian fans? #NZvAFG #T20WorldCup”. Replying to it, Wasim Jaffer commented, “Had a heavy lunch between 12-1, still feeling full Winking face #NZvsAfg #T20WorldCup”

The mega event has already witnessed 39 matches and only three games are remaining before the commencement of the knockout stage. Pakistan, under the captaincy of Babar Azam, is the only team, who has officially qualified for the next round after winning their first four matches in Group 2.

India will be playing their last league match against Namibia on Monday, November 7 at the Dubai International Cricket. While a loss would see them getting knocked out, even a victory will not be sufficient for their qualification. For India to qualify for the semis, they have to beat Namibia and also hope for Afghanistan to get past the Kiwis. Notably, India registered a dominating win over Scotland.

After the win over Scotland, skipper, Virat Kohli said, “The bowlers were excellent, and then KL and Rohit did really well. We spoke about the 8-10 over bracket before the start, didn’t want to really go too hard because if you lose wickets, then an extra 20 balls could cost. We thought that if they play naturally, runs will come quickly.”

He further added, “If you look at our practice games, we have been actually batting like this [aggressively] only. Just a couple of aberrations [Pakistan and New Zealand] happened, where we just couldn’t got those two successive good overs. Teams bowled well too, and created pressure on us. But we were just two overs of good batting. Jadeja bowled really well, also Shami was quite good.”
