Bowlers have often developed a unique ability to outsmart the batsmen. No matter how good the batsmen are, the bowlers will still find a way to come out on top and that's the bowler's spirit. Let's leave spinners aside and focus on the pacers now. Over the decades, fast bowlers have certainly made things really tough for the batsmen.

With a deadly combination of pace and swing, the fast bowlers trapped even the world-class batsmen. Usually, fast bowlers don't play for long years because they would face fatigue and that's why they retire soon. However, some pacers, even after going past their prime, are still fighting a good fight.

Among the current crop of experienced fast bowlers, Fidel Edwards has been a bowler of unfulfilled potential. Although he had enough weapons in his bowling arsenal, he has been injury-prone and remained inconsistent throughout his cricketing career.

This is the reason why he has been in and out of the West Indies' cricket set-up. The pacer who possesses a round-arm bowling action has had a promising start to his Test career. As the games progressed, he didn't live up to his potential. He is 39 years old now and has struggled to fulfil his early potential and strength.

However, it is good to see him bowling at a swift pace. The Barbadian cricketer took 165 wickets in Tests, 60 wickets in ODIs and 17 wickets in T20Is. Despite being pretty decent at times, his lack of consistency kept him at bay most of the time. But that doesn't change the fact that he can produce magical spell at times.

In a video that is doing the rounds on social media platforms, the West Indies pacer showcased his true potential with the ball by delivering at a fierce pace. The ball moved so quick and swing in such a way that the batsman didn't have enough time to react to the situation. Even before he reacted, the ball beat his bat and made a mess of the stumps.
