Watch: Jofra Archer bowls a deadly snorter to Zak Crawley in County Championship

Jofra Archer has been one of the vital cogs of the England cricket team. Ever since the 2019 World Cup tournament, the Barbados-born pacer has been a nightmare to most batsmen in the modern era. His run-up while bowling may look ordinary but the final product is deadly and it is how we say, don't judge a book by its cover. He delivers lethal balls with relative ease.

Over the years, Archer has troubled several batsmen with lethal beamers and deadly bouncers. These types of deliveries are literally unplayable and Archer keeps bowling these sort of deliveries time and time again. This is what sets him apart from most other bowlers in contemporary cricket.

Archer was expected to go all guns blazing for the Rajasthan Royals in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. Archer sustained a cut to his hand while cleaning at his home in January shortly before jetting off to India to prepare for the Test series. The fast bowler played 2 Tests and all the 5 T20Is against India.

After that, he was ruled out of the three-match ODI series and the first half of the IPL. While it was expected that he would join the Royals in the middle of the season, he opted out of the tournament. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) gave an official statement that they do not want to risk their player ahead of the home series against India.

Jofra Archer makes a terrific comeback

Meanwhile, England’s Jofra Archer made a sensational comeback to competitive cricket on Thursday. Plying his trade for Sussex in the county championship, the right-arm fast bowler picked up 1 important wicket as he sent Kent skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond packing with a top delivery.  Daniel edged an outside off ball to the second slip and walked back to the pavilion after scoring 27.

Then, Archer delivered an unplayable delivery to Zak Crawley and the latter had no clue how to react to the ball as he got hit on the helmet. Sussex had shared a video on their official Twitter handle and captioned it as: “That is a SNORTER!” Two wickets already for @JofraArcher!”
