Devon Conway added a new feather to his cricketing career as he became the first cricketer to score a double century at the Lord’s. His innings included a flurry of 22 fours and 1 six. On the other hand, Henry Nicholls chipped in with 61. He managed to hit 4 boundaries. In the end, Neil Wagner played a useful cameo.

The tail-ender remained not out on 25 off 21 balls as he hit 3 fours and a six. Notably, Wagner’s six off Stuart Broad’s bowling was indeed the shot of the day on Day 2. However, down the order, Stuart Broad triggered the rivalry by hitting a six off Neil Wagner's bowling. The fast bowler wouldn't have expected it but the southpaw ensured to hit a six towards long-off region. Despite getting hit for a six, Wagner got his revenge on Broad as the former shattered the latter's stumps with a brilliant delivery.

Broad departed for 10 runs. Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors as he took 6 wickets. Kyle Jamieson took 3 wickets while Neil Wagner took 1 wicket.
